With the signing of Air Service Agreement (ASA), Bhutanese Airlines can now fly to UAE. MoIC Secretary Dasho Karma Wangchuk Penjor signed the ASA on 13^th Feb 2017 with the Director General of UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi in Dubai.

However, the decision to operate on the new route will depend on the two airlines based on their feasibility studies and commercial viability.
